According to the Sydney Morning Herald, (via GolfDigest), tickets sales are down at this years Australian Masters, due to a lack of Tiger appeal.

Nick Faldo breaks down St. Andrews golf course hole by hole
Jul 14th
The legendary Nick Faldo has posted a hole by hole break down of his experience at St. Andrews, with pictures, over at TaylorMade Europe.

An excerpt reads:
“In my first Open over the Old Course in 1978, which was won by Jack Nicklaus, I was given some hand-written notes by Gerald Micklem, one of the top administrators during my amateur career. What made his notes so helpful was that he detailed the likely Championship pin locations which, in the case of St Andrews, can make all the difference to how you play the hole. It was just such a useful guide to the Open at St Andrews for a first-time competitor.”
You can check out the whole break down in one location here.

Aim Blame: What can we learn from Tiger and Stevie’s relationship?
Jun 28th
Shane B over at DogsThatChaseCars wrote up a rift between Tiger Woods and his caddie Steve Williams. The blog post commented:
—
After the final round of the U.S. Open, it appeared Tiger is again a bit upset with the decision making of Williams, namely his second shot into the 10th hole.
“Stevie said take dead aim right at it, and in my heart I said ‘no’. There was no chance, I have a sand wedge in my hand, and I can’t play at that flag. You land the ball on the green, it will go past the flags.”
—

You can read the full article here. What does this tell us about the shot decision responsibility of a golfer? Williams has a solid reputation for not speaking ill of Woods; so was Woods right to pass the buck over to his caddie? Tiger Woods complains about greens after woeful first round at the US Open.
Jun 18th
After an amature putting exhibition, Tiger Woods, who scored a 74 three over par, had only one thing to say about the putting surface, ‘Awful’.
Tiger, who is know for his putting prowesqe, struggled with reading the infamously firm greens. He was quoted as saying, ”There’s no one making a lot of putts out there. No one is going low. You just can’t. [At least] the afternoon guys can’t. The morning guys have a chance. I’ve played, as I said, my practice rounds in the morning and the greens are smoother, but they’re still very firm.”
Woods’ disgust was easily explained – he played better from tee to green than he has done since his return from his self-induced hiatus only to fritter away his chances. His haste in blaming the elements was inexplicable, not least because the three co-leaders at the close of play had all, like Woods, teed off in the afternoon.
Phil Mikelson, who is favorite to take the title actually finished one shot worse than Woods, who scored the same as one of the other favorites Ian Poulter. The scores are very tight near the top so whatever happens, it should be a very exciting year for the US Open.
